The Problem of Evil

Sunday 12th May, 2013

Coptic Orthodox Apologetics comes to the East!

The Problem of Evil

Why does a good God allow bad things to happen?

"Is he willing to prevent evil, but not able?
Then he is impotent.
Is he able, but not willing?
Then he is malevolent.
Is he both able and willing?
Then whence evil?"
~ David Hume.

Fr Antonios will explore the deep question of why a good and all-powerful God allows evil to happen in the world He created, including ancient Christian responses and some contemporary and surprisingly powerful philosophical arguments.
Following the talk there will be an opportunity for open discussion, where no question is off limits!

Time: Sunday 12 May 2013.
Gather at 6:30pm, Talk commences 7pm sharp.
Place: St Demiana & St Athanasius Coptic Orthodox Church
119 Highclere Ave. Punchbowl.
