The Coptic Orthodox Diocese of Sydney & its Affiliated Regions, in collaboration with the Public Affairs Council, is holding its Annual Gala Dinner to celebrate the Thirteenth
Anniversary for the establishment of the Diocese of Sydney & its Affiliated Regions. The Diocese, formed by His Holiness, our late the Thrice-Blessed Pope Shenouda III, and with the prayers & blessings of His Holiness Pope Tawadros II and under the stewardship of His Grace Bishop Daniel, aims to serve our Coptic Community, in NSW and in its affiliated regions.
A number of politicians and businessmen will be attending to greet the members of our Coptic Orthodox Community, and to learn about the achievements of the Diocese over the past 13 years.
This is a big event for the Diocese, and is the first time the Diocese hosts this annual dinner.
The Diocese will honour the first Coptic Orthodox person, Mr. Edmond Attala, to be elected as a Member of the NSW State Parliament, in the March 2015 elections.
There will be a Presentation on the achievements of the Diocese of Sydney over the past thirteen years, the establishment of new churches, and the ordination of blessed Reverend Fathers for the Diocese, as well as elaborating, with photos, on the progress of the current and future Diocese projects. The Diocese will also present on her ministry services in South East Asia and interstate.
Our beloved talented youth will also present performances on the night.
This will be an event to meet members of the Coptic Orthodox congregation from all the Churches in Sydney, and an opportunity to meet friends and have dinner together.
All are invited and welcome to come together to this important event to represent the unity of the community.
